Living nearby, we chose this park for our start shakedown trip in our new Airstream. There are a number of good sites for a 28' trailer. We chose 16 because nosotros planned to campsite with friends who would have had 17 and the ii sites piece of work well for this. They had to cancel, simply we notwithstanding enjoyed 16. In the P/T, the loops are short loops making it difficult for thirty' and larger to drive through it without hit electric/h2o posts or copse. We (35' fifth wheel) only pulled in 2/iii of the way and had to dorsum out of the spot on departure.

Lovely park. Sites are huge, merely as full time digital nomads, we struggled to work from hither. We were inconsistently able to be on zoom meetings and had no success with Google meets. Using our Verizon hotspot, the speed was ix mbps download and 2 mbps upload. Using our AT&T hotspot, the speed was iv.81 down and three.4 up. Our friends in site 63 had the same struggles. When we talked to another camper (who camps there often), nosotros said, "The reviews said cell signal was decent in this park." He chuckled and said, "I've never known anyone who would say that here." So, this is a pretty weekend getaway or great location if you don't take to work.

We loved this state park. You lot can't beat the location and proximity to Austin, the value, and the hiking. The campsites are nice and spread out. They could have easily quadrupled the number of campsites they have here, but didn't. Showers were just OK and the toll of firewood is a racket! $14.99 per bundle?! We loved this land park. You can't beat the location and proximity to Austin, the value, and the hiking. The campsites are overnice and spread out. They could have easily quadrupled the number of campsites they take hither, simply didn't. Showers were just OK and the price of firewood is a racket! $14.99 per parcel?! Become your firewood outside the park! We did hear some vehicle traffic from the main road at night, but nil likewise crazy. Also definitely go the Texas State Park Pass if you're planning to stay for a while, or are visiting other state parks. The daily fees add up!

I stayed hither for a few weeks in January. Large, private spots with good signal from Verizon. I have a TX State Park pass and then I didn't have to pay the daily entrance fee. Worth buying information technology if you're in the state for more than 7 days. I stayed hither for a few weeks in Jan. Big, private spots with good signal from Verizon. I have a TX Country Park pass and so I didn't accept to pay the daily archway fee. Worth buying it if you're in the land for more than 7 days. I stayed in a few spots because I couldn't get terminal minute reservations over the weekends. 56 was the best! I wouldn't recommend 85 or 59. They have a weird shape that puts you right in the others thou. All other spots were individual. Didn't employ the bathrooms. Trails were nice and the water was great! Super shut to downtown. $20/twenty-four hours this close to the urban center and this spread out is wonderful!

Awesome proximity to Austin, we were able to admission anything we needed in the urban center. Site 59 in Big Cedar loop was level, private, and placidity. The bathrooms were okay, the showers were hot but they were ii stalls in a bathroom with boosted 3 toilet stalls, so less private than I'd like. The worst role nigh staying hither is the ... more

Nosotros stayed here to visit family and friends in the Austin surface area. Staying in December was pretty neat. We had some warm days to wade in the water and absurd days for a fire. Spots are dainty and all different sizes. Restrooms are park restrooms but showers were warm and there wasn't a ton of traffic in them. We use them since there are six of... more

The fact that this park is then shut to everything, including the drome, which I had to fly out of and back to for one of the days I was in that location, is amazing. You would never know, except for the occasional plane and crotch rocket somewhere out on the route. My 30amp space was supposed to be a pull-through only there was no way that was... more

Skilful campground…30 amp,
With water and dump station. Clean bathrooms. Dainty hiking trails. Site 5 was hard to go my 40' fifth wheel into. Lots of other sites seem more all-around for a large rig.
